Hi, I’m Larry!
I graduated from the University of California, Riverside, with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and have a strong background in HR operations, technical processes, and creative problem-solving.
Currently, I work as a Talent Acquisition Coordinator at Behr, where I manage candidate onboarding, background checks, pre-employment testing, and orientations. I specialize in maintaining data integrity within our HRIS systems, ensuring compliance, and assisting with Workday audits. I also collaborate with internal teams to streamline HR processes and improve operational efficiency using various tools such as Power Bi and Power Automate.
Previously, I worked as an HR Operations Assistant at UC Riverside, where I handled confidential personnel files, supported campus staff recruitments, and developed automated solutions to optimize hiring procedures. My contributions helped refine recruitment workflows, allowing managers to focus on strategic priorities.
Beyond HR, I have a passion for technical and creative work. As a Lighting Designer at Stream of Praise Music Ministries, I’ve executed innovative lighting designs and collaborated with senior leaders to improve production strategies. I also served as the Audio/Visual Technical Director for the Asian American Christian Fellowship (AACF) chapter at UC Riverside, leading AV setup for campus-wide events, researching presentation software, and training team members to enhance production quality.
Outside of work, I enjoy hands-on projects like PC building and mechanical keyboards, as well as exploring sci-fi and fantasy books, gaming, playing the bass, or discovering new music.

Ever since taking graphic design at my high school, I’ve fallen in love with it. My first design was a poster for my high school’s spirit week, and it was extremely satisfying seeing my work placed all around campus. Since then, I’ve found various personal projects to pursue, some of which you can see below in my portfolio section!
In the summer between my sophomore and junior year of high school, I attended a filmmaking camp. It was there I discovered my passion for filmmaking, more specifically video editing. Right after, I remember seeing masterfully edited gaming montages, and many hours were spent trying to get cool clips. Since then I’ve stopped editing gaming montages, but the many hours I spent editing those videos taught me the fundamentals and more of Premiere Pro
I’ve never gotten into web design because I’ve always been afraid of the coding aspect, but after learning HTML and CSS in my college CS classes I decided to give it a shot. In making my own website (the one you’re visiting right now!) I have grown to love the convergence of graphic design and coding that results in web design.
